At least two firemen have died this Friday at the Jorge Chávez International Airport, in the Peruvian capital of Limeafter collide your truck with the wing of an airplane that it was about to carry out the take-off manoeuvre.

“A plane that was taking off hit its right wing with the airport fire truck, in which, due to the impact, two firefighters died,” reported the general commander of the Fire Department, Luis Ponce, in a statement collected by Europe Press.
Likewise, in statements to the Peruvian radio station RPP, the Fire Commander has clarified that All the passengers on the plane have been evacuated and none have serious injuries.Therefore, it considers that the situation is already under control.
The operating company of the Jorge Chavez airport, Lima Airport Partners, has regretted what happened. The plane covered the route between Lima and the city of Juliacaabout 840 kilometers from the capital and located in the southeast of Peru.
“At this moment we are carrying out all the necessary investigations to determine the causes of this event,” the organization said in a statement, where they conveyed their condolences to the families of the victims.
