A group of anti-vaccine activists attempted this Sunday to break into the Barclays Center in New York, where the NBA basketball game between the Brooklyn Nets and the Charlotte Hornets is being played, in support of player Kyrie Irving, canceled by the Nets for refusing to inject the covid-19 vaccine, local media reported.
Protesters, who have staged several protests in recent weeks, called the rally today at 2:00 p.m. local time (8:00 p.m. CET / 6:00 p.m. GMT), two hours before the match began.
