Anne Hathaway Reacts to NYFW Devil Wears Prada Incident.

After Anne Hathaway took social media crazy by recreating her Devil Wears Prada outfit during New York Fashion Week this year, she revealed the truth behind her costume.

Andy Sachs famously left the fashion industry at the end of The Devil Wears Prada, but Anne Hathaway has embraced her role as a style icon and was incidentally glad to resurrect the character for one night.

In 2022 we all watched Anne Hathaway channel her inner Andy Sachs.

And as revolutionary as it was, it was purely accidental.

Nearly a month after she frowned during a Michael Kors presentation of the Devil Wears Prada persona during New York Fashion Week, Anne admitted that her outfit wasn’t planned while sitting next to Anna Wintour.

Anne Hathaway had this to say about the Prada Dress at New York Fashion Week.

fun tonight

In an interview with Savannah Guthrie on Today, the Oscar winner admitted that she mistakenly dressed as Sachs. New York Fashion Week Last month, when she wore a brown alligator jacket, turtleneck top and skirt, plus bangs and high ponytails to the Michael Kors show.

“Wasn’t it a little crazy? It happened by chance,” he stated on the October 12 episode of Today. “I had to dress differently. This was the other outfit that came in because the shoes didn’t fit.”

“Then my very nice hairdresser—I’ve never worked with her before—just said, ‘Oh, I know what to do,’ and she put my hair in a ponytail,” she said, pulling back, bang-style. “I looked in the mirror and thought to myself, ‘Oh, this is so fun, I wonder, would anyone notice?’”

If you haven’t watched the 2006 movie for a while, Anne’s 14 September’s elegant all-brown ensemble echoed the dressy actress character Andy wore in the final scene of Devil Wears Prada.

Also, during the NYFW event, Anne was sitting next to none other than the Vogue editor-in-chief, who was of course the inspiration for Miranda Priestley (played by Meryl Streep).

Even if it wasn’t intentional, it’s still an exciting opportunity for us.
