JUros in Johnny Depp’At a high-profile court, they saw a photo of his ex-wife Amber Heard yesterday with what looked like bruises on his face. After a week-long hiatus, Heard, who was sued for libel by her ex-husband Johnny Depp, returned to testify.
Photograph of Hurd taken in los angeles courthouse in May 2016, when she filed for a temporary restraining order against Depp, was shown to the jury. Depp accused Heard of fabricating the bruise with makeup, which Heard denies.
Heard revealed that she decided to divorce Depp after she described another alleged incident of violence on television. she turned 30 in April 2016.. “I knew I had to leave him,” she testified. “I knew I wouldn’t survive if I didn’t. It was so hard, but I knew I had to do it,” Hurd said of filing for divorce from Depp. in May 2016.
Heard defended her in 2018 Washington Post an article in which she described herself as a “public figure representing domestic violence” when questioned by her lawyer. Depp’s defamation lawsuit is based on an image that was not named in the article.
What is wrong in this article? Hurd’s lawyer Elaine Bredehof asked. “Nothing,” Hurd said. “Every word is true.” She added: “This is not about Johnny. The only one who thought it was about Johnny was Johnny. It was about me and my life after Johnny.”
Heard went on to say that accusing Depp supporters of lying was “torture”. She stated, “I want to get on with my life. I want Johnny to get on with his life. I just want him to leave.”
Cross-examination of Amber Heard
Heard was cross-examined by Depp’s legal team on Monday, in addition to testifying, and was asked about her claims that Depp may have broken her nose after Met Gala in 2014.
Lawyers for Depp produced photographs taken shortly after the alleged incident, showing that she was unharmed. “I’m not going to walk around Los Angeles with bruises on my face,” Heard said, hiding her injury with makeup.
Depp’s legal team also asked Heard about whether he looked at her during the trial. Hurd replied, “Not that I knew about it.”
“You know why he doesn’t look at you,” the lawyer said. “He told you that you would never see his eyes again.”
Heard also stated that she believes the lawsuit has damaged her professional career. She confessed that she had not yet given $7 million she received a divorce from Depp for charity.
She stated that she still intended to split the funds between American Civil Liberties Union and to children’s Hospital In California.
