It’s another season buy a new coat. One it is actually sweet and coming actually keep you warm. I often find that the perfect piece of outerwear that manages to offer both isn’t that easy to come by, so I’ve compiled a list of where to buy coats online to make your autumn and winter shopping that much easier. Also, I need help deciding which coat on this list to buy for myself.
When I think of hardcore parkas, brands like Mackage and Canada Goose come to mind. When I want something a little more trendy, Apparis and Noize are my usual favourites. That said, you’ll often find me picking up some of my best coats on sale at major retailers like Nordstrom Rack, Verishop, and Macy’s. When it comes to the wide world of outerwear, the options are almost endless – and to be honest, it’s a little overwhelming.
But don’t stress! Rest assured, your perfect coat or jacket seller is somewhere on this list, whether you’re looking for a chic puffer jacketa fur in fake fur in a statement shade or something you can wear day in and day out when the weather drops below 32°.

Duh, Nordstrom is a good choice if you want lots of options for outerwear brands. And this season’s online selection pops up! With brands like The North Face, Zella, Bernardo, Canada Goose, you’re always guaranteed a good deal and the chance to get your dream coats for less during a sale. Just now I have my eyes on this Hyalite hooded down jacket as my potential everyday breath.

Whether you want an oversized padded parka, a fitted wool coat or plush puffer, Zara has every coat trend you can think of, as well as price tags that range from affordable to luxurious. the Long fleece coat is at the top of my list because it just looks super cozy and chic.

If you want a trendier look to rock this fall and winter, Revolve definitely has you covered, with outerwear options from cool brands like Mackage, Toast Society, ALC and more. Find top brands at discounted prices so you can try all the biggest trends while saving money. Take this for example Sam Edelman numbers which has a big discount of 54 percent right now. A wool coat for under $100? Add this steal to your cart while you still can.

If you’re after big designer names, head straight to Saks Fifth Avenue, where you’ll find the likes of Burberry, Saint Laurent and Balenciaga. How could you miss an iconic Burberry grave like this? It’s the kind of coat that will be a mainstay in your wardrobe for years to come.

If you’re shopping on a budget, look no further than Target. There are so many trendy ones and affordable choices that elevate your wardrobe. The retailer also offers a variety of plus-size options. Slip into this sophistication checkered coat to get all eyes on you.

Another department store to check out before deciding on your OTC (One True Coat) is Macy’s. Their selection is always strong, and you can often get a hell of a deal! Shop raincoats, trenches, faux fur, teddy jackets, wool options, and of course, heavy-duty down parkas for winter, all on the Macy’s website. I love this Michael Kors alternative for many reasons — namely the asymmetrical front and the detachable belt.

For pretty much everything these days, I check Verishop before buying anywhere else. And surprise surprise, they have a wonderful selection of outerwear! Coats and jackets from CAALO, Unreal Fur and my personal favorite for making a statement, Andreeva, are ready. For a seemingly classic option that isn’t so classic after all (it’s durable, reversible and the convertible!) this CAALO down coat is a no-brainer.

If you want impeccable faux fur in a rainbow of shades, Apparis must be your one-stop shop for outerwear. I’m also a fan of their vegan leather puffers and hem-based faux wool cores, but nothing beats their classic Pluche faux fur made from recycled fibers. the Stella is my current obsession.

Mackage is an OG BCB (Bougie Coat Brand, duh) known for incredible leathers and flattering silhouettes that actually keep you warm when it’s -10° and you just need to run a few errands. Turn to them for everything from lightweight down jackets to full-on parkas, always with elevated style. the trish is a perfect exhibit A.

Alo recently launched a line of jackets and coats for its first-ever holiday outerwear campaign starring Kendall Jenner. To me this makes perfect sense! I love throwing on a chic coat to jazz up my everyday outfits with leggings and tracksuits, so Alo is now my go-to for my entire fall/winter wardrobe. Expect Sherpa grave and Stunner puffer jacket to become a bestseller.

If a sustainable, cruelty-free brand serving all types of outerwear is your jam, you’ll be head over heels for Noize. Not only that they have a collection with mega-influencer Tezza, but they already have a wide selection of trendy yet timeless pieces to choose from. A classic wool coat in the color of the season? Sign me up Sloane in the shade Clover.

With renowned craftsmanship for 60 years, Canada Goose makes outerwear that is built to last and keep you warm. If you find your perfect fit, it might just be the last coat you ever buy! While you simply can’t go wrong with one of their more timeless parkas or down jackets, I’m here to make a case for the trendy Junction Parka Pastel. Sorry florals for spring, but pastels for winter really do feels groundbreaking!

Reformation doesn’t make heavy outerwear, but they do have a great selection of jackets and coats for fall that I can’t get enough of. Think classic silhouettes in upgraded patterns and colorways that add a playful touch. Wouldn’t Elle Woods rock Middlefield Coat in beige plaid?! It feels like an obvious essential to me.

Uniqlo is super slim Ultra light down materials put their packable puffers and jackets on the map as some of the best layering pieces of all time, so of course they’ve earned a spot on this list. If you don’t have one, you need one. From there it’s easy to build your outerwear wardrobe and you can choose more statement styles like this one Seamless down short coat in grape purple.
